Body‑Led Approach
~ I listen with my hands and let the session unfold from what your body shows me.~

Healing from the Inside Out
“Shiatsu is sensitive, powerful bodywork that meets you on all levels — mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual.
A session lasts around an hour and takes place on a futon mat on the floor. You stay fully clothed throughout. Each treatment is shaped to meet your needs, and may include applied pressure and gentle stretching to support balance, ease, and the natural flow of energy.
To get the most from your session, avoid alcohol and heavy meals on the day.”

About Gabi
Gabi is a Shiatsu therapist and teacher practising since 2006. She works with a whole‑person understanding of health, recognising how physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing are interconnected. Her sessions offer a steady, regulated space where clients can unwind tension, settle overwhelm and reconnect with themselves. She works with clients of all genders and brings clarity, sensitivity and professionalism to each treatment.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Support
Gabi has extensive experience supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Shiatsu offers gentle, stabilising support during these transitions — easing strain, restoring energy and helping women feel more grounded and connected in their bodies.
Teaching & Professional Training
Gabi has taught widely across Edinburgh, including Baby Shiatsu classes and Shiatsu evening classes for City of Edinburgh Council. During her seven years running TSSED, she taught and led the three‑year professional Shiatsu training, guiding students through embodied learning, hands‑on practice and the development of confident therapeutic skills.
Women’s Groups
She facilitates women’s groups, including Perimenopause Circles, offering structured support, shared understanding and a steady space for women navigating hormonal and emotional change.
Community Work
Gabi is a co‑founder of Shiatsu Hub, a collaborative initiative making Shiatsu more accessible in community settings. She works with fellow practitioners to offer low‑cost sessions, outreach projects and wellbeing events across Edinburgh, creating inclusive spaces where people can experience the benefits of therapeutic touch.
Ongoing Practice
Her work continues to evolve through ongoing training and her commitment to accessible, embodied care.

Reflection on Shiatsu
“After my seated Shiatsu with Gabi, the long‑held pain and tension in my neck and back eased immediately as she worked. I slept deeply that night, and the headaches I’m prone to also lifted.”
Fatima
“After my session with Gabi, I felt really light in my body. All the tension had gone, and I had a deep sense of myself and my whole body. I felt calm, grounded, and at ease.”
David
“I always feel so much better after a session with Gabi. I’m more relaxed, the pain in my back eases, the heaviness in my chest from asthma clears, and I have more energy. I leave feeling lighter and able to breathe more freely.”
